about Exeter & the market

Exeter is a village in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales which enjoys a cool climate and English appearance due to 19th century nurserymen, Yates and Searles, who planted imported 'exotic' trees in the streets, gardens & around the oval.

This prosperous Village had and still has a strong agricultural base. Our market is held under the heritage trees and in the picturesque parklands of Exeter Park which is the hub of the village along with the famous General Store and Village Hall.

The market is relaxed and easy to stroll around while listening to live music. It's a great place for a picnic, and there is plenty of seating.

There is plenty of onsite parking, directed by volunteers. Or you can park by the croquet court beside the market, or in the village. There is also dedicated accessible parking.

We adjoin Exeter Sports field, and there is a playground under the old oak trees.

On the first Saturday of each month Exeter Village comes alive with sellers, producers & makers who are passionate about their wares.
