about Exeter & the market
Exeter is a village in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales which enjoys a cool climate and English appearance due to 19th century nurserymen, Yates and Searles, who planted imported 'exotic' trees in the streets, gardens & around the oval.
This prosperous Village had and still has a strong agricultural base. Our market is held in the heritage-listed Exeter Village Hall, formerly School of Arts, & surrounding parklands which are still the hub of the village along with the famous General Store.
On the first Saturday of each month it comes alive with sellers, producers & makers who are passionate about their wares.
